Frank Beeck, Founder of Rail IT
As the Founder and Owner of Rail IT, Frank is a Business Professional and experienced Systems Designer with demonstrated results in delivering innovative solutions for Mass Transit and Railroad Operations. He has a strong background in design, implementation, integration, and testing of extensive, mission critical systems. Prior to creating his company Rail IT, LLC, Frank served as Director with Profit/Loss responsibility in a world-wide, global position at Siemens Rail Automation.
Following graduation in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Flensburg (Germany) Frank started his career in systems design & development with Siemens. As a software engineer in Research & Development (Nuremberg, GER), Frank was a core team member in developing the SORIX Operating System (a UNIX realtime kernel). After 4 years of R&D, he joined Siemens Transportation Systems and assumed -with increasing responsibilities- various positions in Operations Control Systems for European and North American Mass Transit Systems. In 2012, after an almost 20 year long journey with Siemens, Frank created his own company, Rail IT. Frank holds dual citizenship (US/GER). He is married and lives in Minneapolis (MN) since 1997.
